Martin Stanley studied printmaking at Sydney College of the Arts in the early 1980s and became apprenticed to Master Lithographer Fred Genis. During this time he assisted in the production of limited editions by many prominent Australian artists. Martin established a studio in Sydney and continued his practice as an edition printer in lithography. Subsequently he also began to exhibit his own works in lithography, relief printing and etching, as well as painting and sculpture.
Martin lectured in printmaking at the National Art School for over ten years and continues his practice at his own studio in Sydney.
